Trish Booth and Leonardo Pieterse re-located to New Mexico from Oakland, California over 5 years ago, searching for a studio with a view and they not only found their view on the edge of Canada Hondo, they found it was the perfect location to open a gallery as well.
Ghost Pony Gallery lies halfway between Santa Fe and Taos on "The High Road." The gallery just before "the turn to Taos" in the traditional Spanish village of Truchas, on the Nuestra Senora del Rosario San Fernando y Santiago Land Grant. It is a delightful day trip from either side and one that will take you past other galleries and workshops in 400-year old villages along the way.
The gallery has been open since 2007 and features world-class, museum exhibited artwork of Trish Booth and Leonardo Pieterse, along with occasional appearances by guest artists. Ghost Pony Gallery is open from 10 AM to 6PM most days. If you want to make certain the gallery will be open during your visit it's best to email a few days ahead. Sometimes the artists close up to take a day trip themselves!
